I am telling you folks this offense and system is ina transition that may not have been warranted. We may have over reacted. Adding short and quick passes is one thing but trying to recreate a running game that can account for what TG2 did is not realistic. Do we want and need to run yes. Why are we not able to just upgrade our run blockers. Instead we are simply asking everyone to be all in to run blocking and therefore we are not as affective anymore pass blocking or convincing teams that our play action means anything anymore. We can't go over the top and we are keeping receivers close to the LOS. Good Defenses are able to keep our WR in front of them that is not on Goff. Defenses are able to get to our QB from the inside and outside with blitzs either by a faulting design or player error but that has to be fixed also.
Goff needs to communicate better with is coach and do a better job of recognizing when things are not right. Goff needs to trust the players and plays and he will have success or expose our weaknesses and allow for quicker corrections.
