Here are current stats through half the season.

Opponent Offensive Points per Game - #1 (estimates points that the defense is responsible for by subtracting points offense allowed by turnovers)
Opponent Total Points per Game - #4
Opponent Third Down Conversion Percentage - #2
Opponent Yards per Play - #1
Opponent Yards per Game - #2
Opponent Third-Down Conversions per Game - #3
Opponent Touchdowns per Game - #5

Based on these numbers, it looks like we are certainly a top 3 D.
