I saw the sideline reporter showing temperatures in the second quarter (I think). Rams' sideline temperature was like 60 degrees warmer than the Dolphins' sideline -- the thermometer was registering an unbelievably high temperature, like 140 degrees. I find that temperature ridiculous, but it had to be extremely HOT, nonetheless!!!!
As one who has traveled to many warmer climates, I know the zapping energy drain that temperatures above 100 degrees have on the body. It seemed like Miami was in our backfield quickly, like our front lines were depleted of energy. Their side of the field was warm, but not brutally hot.
Could some of Goff's and OL play be due to the temperature disparity? I've never seen anything that drastic before.
I'm not offering this as an excuse for execution, but if we looked flat, this may have been a major determining factor.
