Been watching some tape on That and have some thoughts.
Draft evaluations cited some technical skills QB IQ and throwing accuracy that is clearly visible.
He has a good snap release in short and intermediate zones with excellent accuracy.
I see him as a pocket passer.
Not a Russell Wilson but has some toughness to try and run and has a sidestep move and can make quick progressions.
Expect excess of crossers short outs and throws within 40 yards to post and sidelines.
Not really a deep ball guy.
His reciever s were obviously great in college.
Parker is deep threat Gieske the TE is a known talent.
Not expecting too much RB use as reciever.
He moves defenders with eyes during play and is reading blitz pre snap.
He sees the windows before they open and is relying on Communication ,timing ,and his reciever to be there.
So my ideas on defending him goes to few areas immediately.
First we need to do anything we can to block passes up front so hands up every play besides creative blitzing.
He's a lefty so maybe Floyd can go off again.
Equally we need to disrupt those receivers getting off line and tight coverage short .
Fake some blitz's and drop into zones.
Play tough on the run game give him 3rd down and excess of 5yds and you'll have a better chance.
All in all he looks like a lower case Russ Wilson who probably has the heart to succeed and a short area whip and smarts of a second baseman.
I'd mess up his teammates and his windows and vision.
Just throw bunch of moving parts at him his line and his reciever s.
Make them all work like crazy to stay alive.
He is definitely a point guard type gamer.
What the difference is between him and Fitz is I don't know.
Maybe he somehow picked up everything they threw at him and was plain phenomenal.
Rams better focus on every zone and every man in coverage responcibility and then prepare for him rolling out to move D and open lanes.
And hit him legally and hard quite a few times .
Test his body.
His heart passes test.
Go Rams.
