After Miami, I'm very hopeful that we'll be 6-2 at the half way mark headed into the bye. I would have been very happy with 6-2 going into the season and being relatively healthy.
Now, after the bye our schedule can be called a fight with division opponents. 5 of the 8 games are within our division. Then add in a game in Tampa, and we got 75% of our games after the bye being extremely tough. Winning 3 of those 6 games won't be easy. We also have 2 home games against the Pats and Jets. We should win both, and will be strong favorites to do so because the Jets are garbage and the Pats just aren't the same without Brady. Overall, I think 10 wins should be expected, 11 wins are reasonable, anything more is exceeding expectations, and fewer than 10 wins is disappointing. Even if we don't win the division, its important to get the top WC spot with the new playoff structure. Only the #1 seed gets a bye, now. And the top WC gets to play the winner of the East in the first round. That's probably better than getting a home game against the Packers or Bucs. Anyway, regardless if we win the West or not, I'm hopeful for 11-5 this year, I think that would be a very successful accomplishment for this team.
