I'm pretty sure Shane Steichen is not on anyones list as the next Bill Walsh
Maybe the kid just has it
You might be right Speed. I haven't watched every Chargers game this year but from the little I did see, Steichen's offense is light years better than what the Fisher offense was. Make no mistake, it was Fisher's offense no matter who the OC was under him and it was run "his" way. It might have been the most boring, conservative offense in NFL history. The stats were historically bad. I would take a Lynn/Steichen combo over a Fisher/anyone combo every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I have to give credit to Herbert too though. He has made some very nice throws. Seems calm in the pocket, has good pass rush awareness and so far seems to read a Defense pretty well. However, with only having played a few games I will hold back some of my praise. Let's revisit this in 5 years, once defenses start to "figure him out". That's when we will know more IMO.
I hope he does well...just not against us!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
