This is a no-brainer to me. Cut Sloman and sign one of these guys to active roster. I prefer the 2 vets as Clay is a raw rooking and currently 'protected' on the Panthers roster.

Kenny Young has got to go. Give Patrick a shot. When's the last time you heard Young's name called out in a game? Or saw him make a big play? Or saw him do anything except run next to and behind people in no position to tackle them.

Kiser is also looking like nothing more than a depth player. He lacks the instincts and athleticism to bring anything to the defense. As limited as he is in coverage, I'd rather Reeder play running downs. He's also shown to be a good blitzer, though it was against an immobile QB in Smith. After the Washington game - doesn't he at least deserve a shot.

Another option is to move Burgess to safety and let Rapp play more big nickel - he used to be a good tackler. Maybe he can be again.
