If a team has a three-game losing streak in which they are dismantled 30-6 and 40-16 and then lose to a team that finishes 6-10, it must be a pretty crummy team, right? That team ended the streak with a 24-0 win in which they set a record by giving up only -7 yards, and then they went on to knock Roger Staubach out of the playoffs in the final game of his career and to make their first Super Bowl appearance. That team was the 1979 Los Angeles Rams. The Rams looked pretty lousy against the 49ers. Hopefully, they will rebound like the 1979 team did.
