I disagree on 50/50.

I say it was almost a no brainer to kick the 25 yard chip shot.

Forcing them to score at least 3 times to beat you, vs once. One to get the TD, again to get the 2 point try. And then again to beat you in OT. Assuming they score a TD first in OT.

So many ways to not lose if you kick the FG. Especially a chip shot.
