Report: Dallas Cowboys offer Dak Prescott richest contract in NFL history
Adam Spencer | 7 months ago
The Dallas Cowboys have been going through negotiations with star QB Dak Prescott for a while now, but it seems some progress is starting to be made.

According to a report from The Dallas Morning News, the 2 sides have spoken and the Cowboys have offered the former Mississippi State star an average salary of $33 million with $105 million guaranteed.

Per Pro Football Talk, due to some contract loopholes, that would actually be the richest contract in NFL history:
Because Prescott currently has no contract, the so-called “new money” value of any deal he accepts will match the more practical assessment of a new contract: What that new contract is worth, from the moment it’s signed.

Prescott could probably get a higher annual salary on the open market. However, perhaps he’d be interested in the richest contract ever signed.

We’ll see how negotiations progress moving forward.
