Some turnovers are bigger than others. Everett's was big.
The Rams offense machine was clicking. The Giants were on their heels. You could see a cold confidence in the Rams, and a shakiness in the Giants. Fumble. Field Goal.
Suddenly the Giants have hope, and the Rams don't feel as invulnerable. It was a momentum shift that lasted the rest of the game.
It affected McVay as well. He could feel it; I could see it. The "On Any Given Sunday" popped up its ugly head and it was going to be an ugly mess the rest of the way.
Rams were fortunate to win that game, just as they were unfortunate to lose to the Bills the week before.
