Totally understand, Speed.
This game seems like the first one where we were outcoached. Very disconcerting, huh?
And player execution wasn’t pretty after that Everett fumble early in the game. Couldn’t run, couldn’t pass, couldn’t properly defend. Only 58 yards rushing total? Gawd!
I’m even starting to have my doubts about Staley now. The scoring D is great, but losing out on yardage and top? Didn’t see that coming.
I noticed that Staley was rotating in at least 4 different players at edge today. They looked good early on, but then kinda faded away later. Still our weakest link, I’m afraid.
Still some work to do in Ram tackling, especially when they have the QB surrounded in his own backfield!
If I never see Hill again in our secondary it will be fine by me.
Did love the Calais return, though.
And appreciate that the O and D hung in there together just long enough to salvage this game. A weaker roster/locker room woulda caved.
A weird game on so many levels. A very humbling game, too. Both coaches and players need to do some soul searching this week.
