I was at the previous week's game in Buffalo that the Rams lost in OT 10-7. Ferragamo got injured and Haden came in for him. I was aware of a radio talk show that Malavasi was on and I called in from New Jersey the night before the Cowboy game. When they answered my call I told that that I was calling long distance and I would only stay on if I didn't have to wait long. They put me as the next caller because of the distance and it also helped that Malavasi was from NJ. Before I got off I told him that I was at the last game and asked the status of Ferragamo. He told me that Vince would be starting. The next night when Cosell came on with his intro he announced that Haden would be starting. I thought that Ray mislead me, but Ferragamo wound up taking the first snap.
