I have a feeling today was a good thing.
The Rams have every reason to think, 1) they have some real flaws, especially on defense, AND, 2) they can play with anyone, certainly anyone this side of KC and Baltimore.
Will the players and coaches take today's performance as a kick in the A$$? I think so. Will that defense be better, appreciably better, as a result? We'll see.
But I tell you what: I am MORE convinced about the potency of this offense than I was before. 29 second-half points against the Bills on the road? Almost 500 yds of offense? Not a single punt? Only one TO? That's all music to my ears, Gator.
But that rookie kicker, and special teams, is really hurting us. So is the defense. Appreciable improvements on both fronts would make the Rams a legit very good team.
