Certainly, it was a well-executed kick by Greg. But Atlanta didn't have to wait for it to go 10. A Falcons player needed to jump on that ball. Not an easy play, of course, cuz you'll only gt one chance to field it cleanly. But that's true w/more conventional onsides kicks too.

I think the unusual execution froze and confused the Falcons.
