It would make it so easy that players would not be able to help themselves, they would slack off and train less hard for their jobs. Soon we would see the OL in the huddle with cigars and drinks and snacks, with head phones on listening to music, generally taking for granted their easy victories. And we would hear things like "did you catch the play call?" "no but does it matter? AD is the ball carrier." "Oh, yeah...right!"
(As you can see I am not being serious. I just think that if AD hurt himself on an offensive play, McV would always regret the decision to use him that way.)
