Regardless of whether the decision was right or wrong, I think this shows that McVay is evolving as a coach. I think he goes for it in that scenario during his first 2 years without a doubt. After the offense's struggles last season, he has definitely changed and seems to be more balanced.

BTW, on the 11 personnel podcast, they made it sound like McVay sounded like he would revisit that decision after the game, and may have had second thoughts.
