J.B. Long@JB_LongVan Jefferson versus the twos is no contest. This rookie is a pro.
More frequent reps against Ramsey & Co. can’t be far away.
===================
Joe Curley@vcsjoecurleyJared Goff completes his first six passes in the first two-minute drill (Higbeex2, Brownx2, Kuppx2), moving the 1st O to the 1st D 35. But the drive stalls there for a 50-yard FG attempt. He’s 6 of 7 on drive.
The Rams OL looked like this through the first five possessions:
1s: Havenstein-Corbett-Blythe-Noteboom-Whitworth
2s: Edwards-Demby-Kolone-Anchrum-Evans
Goff completes a fourth and 4 from the 24 to Everett to move the chains. They gave him the first down but I thought it looked short. Next play, Cam Akers fumbles ball away on a pitch left. Ball don’t lie.
Backup QB John Wolford looking sharp through two possessions for the Rams in their first scrimmage
Wolford takes over for the fourth poss and hits Van Jefferson for a big gain to start the series. Then finds Jefferson in the back of the end zone on third and 5 from the 6 for his second TD pass in two possessions
Goff goes 5 of 6 on the third possession, but Cooper Kupp is stopped short on third and 8 from the 13 to end the drive with a field goal attempt. Kupp (x3), Woods and Everett caught balls on the drive
Wolford scrambled right on third and goal and, with Aaron Donald in his face, hits Webster in the back of the end zone for a one-handed TD pass against the No. 1 defense
QB John Wolford takes over on the second possession and runs for a long scramble (30+ yards) and hits Nsimba Webster (over Jalen Ramsey) to set the 2s up inside the 5-yard line
Jared Goff goes 4 for 7 on the Rams first possession in the scrimmage, completing passes to Gerald Everett and Josh Reynolds and screens to Reynolds and Malcolm Brown

Jourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueWell...MacGinnis and Hajrullahu are good again, this time from 50. Sloman misses his second FG attempt of the night.
Well, I am not seeing Darrell Henderson even on the sideline at the moment. He came up gingerly on a run and limped off the field several minutes ago.
Bryce Perkins, of Chandler, Arizona, is the first of the rookie quarterbacks to get in some live action here in SoFi tonight.
Cam Akers had the misfortune to meet Aaron Donald’s rip-out move just now; fumbled the carry and John Johnson recovered it.
Jordan Fuller is getting significant time with the first team defense tonight esp with Rapp still out.
Jordan Fuller is starting alongside John Johnson at safety tonight.
Van Jefferson is going to be a gamer!
John Wolford finds Van Jefferson in the back corner of the end zone for six. MacGinnis hits his XP, Sloman hits his XP, Hajrullahu hits his XP.
Goff’s second drive will end in a field goal - Hajrullahu and MacGinnis both good from 38. Sloman missed.
Goff’s second drive was against first team D FWIW
Darrell Henderson came off the field after pulling up gingerly on a run and is now sitting on the side. Will continue to monitor.
RB Cam Akers began the scrimmage with the twos, now is with the ones on this second drive.
Ok so the second team O just scored against first team D in the RZ - Nsimba Webster from Wolford on the run - ILBs were Howard and Kiser
- John Wolford just picked up about 40 yards with his legs. Nice help creating space downfield by Nsimba Webster.
So without a score from the first team offense, the Rams rotate in John Wolford and the second team.
Near pick on third down by Deayon. Goff missed Kupp with good covg from Long on 2D...punt team comes out on 4th and 17. (I won’t do play by play tonight but geez it’s good to see football.)
Your Rams starting OL tonight - Whitworth, Noteboom, Blythe, Corbett, Havenstein.
Troy Reeder and Kenny Young getting some early chances at ILB against first team O early on.
Malcom Brown starts at RB
Safety Nick Scott is getting a chance here early on as well.
Jordan Fuller is starting alongside John Johnson at safety tonight.
