Rams' faithful definitely had too high of hopes for him when they brought him in last year. In hindsight is the guy going to suddenly overcome his deficiencies? Of course not. He's an inaccurate QB and has never been a quick processor. More of a one-two read guy who can handle broken plays and off sched stuff which the Rams probably figured would be nice to have if Jared couldn't go.
Best fits for this offense are guys with accuracy and quick processing, who have enough arm to take shots deep. McVay's version of the WCO is a little more demanding than most due to that desire to stretch the field vertically.
