the thing is, Littleton was not the MLB last year

IMO, DaSilva misinterpreted the podcast, Barry was focusing on the MLB or replacing Littleton, not the other position, in which, Howard will most likely be the starter. I'm not a huge Joe Barry fan, wished he had taken the DC job at USC, but it's obvious with McVay naming Staley DC and the rise of Chris Shula to handle the OLB's and Barry besides being assistant Head Coach, is not thought of as a DC by McVay.

I understand Reeder was an UDFA last year from Delaware and the Rams did not have much depth losing first Kiser in preseason and then Bryce Hager, however, Reeder seemed to struggle IMO and proved he could not cover a bed. Expect Howard to be on the field during passing situations when they are not in the 5-1-5 defense, but I don't think the team is totally going with a safety over a linebacker in the regular defensive alignment.

he was the so-called MLB before than but after Barron left, Littleton was the "little guy" Lber. And they put in Hager then Reader is the middle LBer or "big guy" inside linebacker....

My guess is Kiser is the "big guy" and #48 will be the little guy and I think he will be the sole LBer in passing situations

The way DaSilva presented this was a little bit puzzling...
