Last TE who got a 2nd contracts was Austin Hooper, who got 10.5 M in 2020.
Kelce and Kittle both got more than at 15 M.
2nd contracts (as a rule) go up every year but they're also tiered by position. And tiered WITHIN positions.
So while K and K got more than the regular starter type, they still did not get WR money. Thomas and Cooper got 19-20 M.
But for both TEs and WRs, elite players get more than the position norm anyway.
How is this relevant to the Rams? Ramsey. He is going to get far more than recent, good starters but non-elite CBs. It's just how the market works.
I know a lot of that is obvious but sometimes it helps to type up the obvious.
