This day in 1972. Big day. Carroll Rosenbloom , owner of the Baltimore Colts trades his Colts for the Los Angeles Rams by switching ownership with Robert Irsay and Bud Keland who had recently purchased the Rams from the estate of Dan Reeves.

His quote at the time, but so relevant in today's discussion was this: "I want to make the horns on the Rams' helmets as famous as the (New York) Yankees' pinstripes".
