I think the Rams have 3 promising QBs competing to backup Goff. Three QB’s that might actually have a future in this league.

Plus these guys are all relatively dirt cheap.

Think of backup QB as a spare tire intended to allow one to get to a service station. Period. A 2-3 game bandaid until your starter is back. Anything more is getting into Kurt Warner Cinderella story territory, don’t you think?

Therefore, why invest in a ‘has been‘ or ‘never was‘ recycled QB that’s gonna cost $4-5M?
