Opinions range from tremendous bargain to WTF and a pure publicity stunt... Also speculation it's a late decision by BB in response to seeing how (re)motivated Brady seems to be in Tampa. With Cam it all comes down to "if he's healthy, if he's healthy.."
But also a strong opinion here is that if Stidham still has a chance to start this doesn't make much sense because you have to have two very different offenses. And there is belief that if Newton does not win the job handily he will be cut, not be the backup.
