Sure. The Ravens were a great running team, but a top 3 defensive line should be able to stop them. At least a little. That was a very embarrassing game to be a Rams fan. It really stung.
I didn't like that game either. But to be fair---first, it wasn't just the DL. That was everyone on the D. They were confused and it showed.
Also, here are the top 4 DLs according to the list posted here. 1. Steelers, 2. 49ers, 3. Rams, 4. Buccaneers. As it happens, Pitt and SF played the Ravens too. How did they do?
They got 138 yards rushing against Pitts. early in the season, and then 223 against them later in the season--and that 223 yard game was the Steelers's worst game against the run all season. Baltimore won both of those games. SF allowed 178 yards rushing against the Ravens. That was SF's worst game defending the run all season.
Were the Rams bad against Baltimore? Yes of course, but, the top defenses with the top 3 DLs all gave up heavy rushing yards against the Ravens.
