i agree that it is a a concern. The question is concern over what? He clearly had a frustrating year in 2019 as did the team in general. however I dont personally think gurley was a malcontent. i dont recall hearing that from any teammate or coach. its mostly based on his "disgruntled demeanor" during press conferences. why was he disgruntled? He under performed. Why did he under perform? one could point to the oline and i do think they bear some of the responsibility. However, its also interesting to note that the rams did little to address the oline. Thus one must consider the fact that the run game struggles may have had as much to do with gurleys lack of explosion as it had to do with a young oline. i wish gurley all the luck in the world, but it seems pretty obvious the rams dont think gurley is the same back he was in 2017 due to the knee issue.

I don't know why so many people view this as clear evidence he was some kind of locker room cancer? Goff and Whitworth were the offensive team captains. The fact that Rams cut him while absorbing a major cap hit is a greater indication there were "concerns." I think Gurley was frustrated by basically having nowhere to run with defenses stacking the line and forcing Goff to beat them, which he did not...partly because he had no protection. Gurley might have let his frustration manifest in his behavior, that is understandable.
I maintain that Gurley is the same back, had nowhere to run last year. You can't hurdle defenders in your own backfield.
