What is the Rams Blue?

When I first saw the uniforms I kept comparing them to the Dickerson photo everyone was circulating. Was that old photo the real Rams blue? It doesn't look like the same jersey blue that the rams have been wearing recently in throwbacks. It also doesn't look like the blue on the board above. On the yellow color rush - that's a darker blue. The helmet has always been darker.

So the question is - is that Dickerson photo accurate? Or is it an old photograph that was not color corrected properly, or maybe degraded over time? Unless you had hi-def digital photos side by side it's really apples to oranges.

The post 2000 re-design had a darker blue. Is that the real ram blue?

The more I look at the new uniforms the more the blue seems to match the photos from the top of this board. So maybe the color is iconic and now the helmet, for the first time, actually matches the jersey. I do think this brighter blue does not work well with the blue pants. It looks best with the yellow pants, and might look good with the bone pants.
