My thoughts, in no order:
1. Why bone white and not just white? Did they explain? it looks like a dirty t-shirt tbh
2. The yellow stripe down the bone white pants looks like a yellow highlighter down the side. Like an after thought
3. So a chrome helmet to make it pop under lights? Fine, but why is there a banana above a crescent moon? As an owner of cattle if I break off a horn it falls onto the ground, it doesn't hover magically under the part still attached to the head...
4. Gradient numbers? So pro bowl or all star game ripoffs?
5. The numbers again, they are so rounded they look cartoonish.
6. The colors. I really like the blue and the yellow. They really stand out.
Overall, this uni is boring as hell with too much weird stuff going on for me to seriously consider buying any of it. And honestly, I was looking forward to them fixing the weird blue and white helmet with the blue and gold uni. But I won't spend a penny on any of it. Not the LA logo, not the phallus faced ram head with no eyes, and certainly not a gradient, cartoon numbered jersey.
And believe me when I say I am no fashion expert, but I love the Chargers retro Navy uni. Super sharp looking. I was hoping for something like that. But alas, I am afraid the Rams brass is trying so hard to bring in LA fans so the stadium is not filled with away fans week after week they went too far in trying to make it an LA thing. The sun and the bone (representing Cali beach sand?) and the LA with the horn coming out of it, that they missed the big picture...
I think you nailed my friend. Well done.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
