The number of times at games I saw Gurley isolated free to weakside and available, and also in the clean grass over the middle was high
Jared passed to others and TBH he found plenty but there were other plays where I was left wondering just how many yards, big plays, and chain movers were missed as #16 went elsewhere with the ball.
That aside I'm still impressed with the hands I saw of Akers in the high stress Combine drill where he one hands it, gets the handle, and rips off. Sure, just one play, but it had to help sell the Ram Scouts on the choice.
And, as I said after watching that drill: It's a super high stress test to perform well there, so success is reassuring
I'd be lying if told you I won't miss Todd. He has excellent hands, and superb burst.
BTW, I would think that Malcolm Brown's role will be larger than expected when the season begins. He's a multi year Vet.
