This is the tough thing with the younger draftees, the ones coming off significant injury, and others who are relatively underdeveloped for whatever reason. When it takes 2-3 years to develop a quality starter (if you get there), then success looks like Corey Littleton, someone who really comes into his own just in time for a second contract - and you can only afford a few of those. So teams develop guys in time to see many of them walk. I like the Rams approach as a rule - hit up the guys, often older guys like Van Jefferson and Kupp (both almost 24 when drafted), who're ready to contribute right away. One reason they like the Senior Bowl so much.
