At the end of the day, you would think Stan has final say, unfortunately he signed off on this one.....
I think KD might be stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one and is bitting his tongue as they have merchandise contracts and still has to sell this crap.
I don't understand though is why they stuck with it even after it was just killed unmercifully after the leak....that was a great opportunity to put out this fire, instead they poured gasoline on it by distancing themselves from the leaked hat and then unveiled the same design the next day
Hard to believe "women in the marketing front office" are dictating to Demoff. Demoff is COO, and according to his bio he is the team's "top front office executive and liaison to owner and chairman, Stan Kroenke, on all organizational matters."
The buck stops with Stan, but it goes through Demoff right before it does.
I kinda agree with max here. Demoff had TON of input on this and FAILED. Stealing the ASU logo is EMBARRASSING to the Franchise and how it's run. On top of that, he was so proud of himself while he was "trolling" his very loyal fan base who are very sensitive to the Horns and uni's. Add to that the lying about the hat was the frosting on the cake.
Silly Kevin, all you had to do was to create a poll on the final 5 choices and you would have come out of this smelling like a rose. Instead now you are just smelling like a steaming pile of...you know what.
I can only imagine how much heat Demoff will take if these new uni's aren't accepted. Obviously Demoff was VERY confident that his new "STOLEN" ASU logo would be accepted that I bet he feels just as confident about the new uni's and that scares the h3ll out of me.
