I know what you mean about the placements, after round 2 it is very difficult to guess where they fall. I generate a spreadsheet and record as many of the so called experts mock drafts, as I can. I then try and look at the average placements but it is very difficult, for instance, Walter Football has Biadasz going at 52 but an NFL 4 round mock had him going at 124 and thats far from the worst example.
With regards to Gay, what is it that makes you think its a risky pick? Is it the red flags? I believe he was suspended for cheating on a chemistry exam, which I can live with, and I also heard that the punching the QB wasn't as bad as it sounds, heat of the moment sort of thing. That said, I do worry about his lack of games. I guess that Brooks would be a safer bet but I am not sure that Brooks will still be there at 84. I think Gay is better than the other likely candidates, Troy Dye, ADG and Wilson, especially in coverage.
I agree about Dillon, I liked him early and am sticking with him on stubbornness more than anything. Moss is definitely better but goes higher and has injury concerns. My first thought when we got the 2nd round 2 pick was that we could move up and get Moss ahead of Dillon but then the Corner thought crept up on me. There are a lot of RB's that should be available around round 4, I just think someone with real power to break through on those short yard red zone plays would be a nice fit.
Who's your other Safety target in the later rounds? I'm a bit obsessed with Robinson to be honest, the more I think about it the more convinced I am about him. I am going to be devastated if we don't get him, I know I shouldn't get locked into a target but I can't help it.
