How a WR is used in the offense/scheme trumps much!
A fun little activity to do is look at the past 40 times of WRs in the draft for the last 10yrs
(or 20yrs)... and see how
few of those burners succeeded in the NFL
(John Ross, PDorsett, TAustin etc). It's a great asset to be sure...but as a former QB what I always valued most were
route running and
hands!!! Those two qualities are -
to me - the most valuable assets a WR can have.

Route Running = Uncovering/getting open

Hands =
Catching the ball once you get open is your purpose...(speed, RAC, blocking, etc)...everything else is icing.
From what I have read & heard about this years WR class...there will be a good number of really good prospects thru the mid-rounds.
This makes me happy.
