Rams Miss OTAs

Of course they weren't alone; There are another 31 clubs missing out on the sessions.

OTAs have certainly enabled 2nd and 3rd year players to become not only physically stronger, but vastly smarter in their professional football lives.

There's also been another angle that benefits clubs.
Coaches can see who has spent the last number of months working on their game. It allows them to assess those that might be an emerging starter in the 2nd year, or for some players that were deep in the roster, possibly practice squad kids, that have shown up wiser, and better prepared physically.

OTOH, there's guys who just "showed up." Who've done little to nothing, and have not much too show for their offseason.
Think Polite, and whether he's got his head on straight and suddenly is a monster, or ?...........

There's kids that had their year end by injury. Kiser, Allen, Noteboom, etc
Are they healing up? Are they football ready? Are they ready to start?

And, I might be wrong, but doesn't this play into the hands of Pastoor, and company about where they want to spend their draft capital?

Yeah, the new DC may want to evaluate the guys in person, but last's year tape has already led to roster moves.
But there will be no evaluation from OTAs: And no ability to "install" the new system he has without the OTAs as part of the process?

OTAs, even in that short window before the draft, may play a role in the draft itself. I think it does, but what say you?:
