I am not messing around with 2 guys that have been OCs their entire college career, just to move them back a year later. Even if it means redshirting them for a season. It wouldn't be the worst thing ever anyhow. Biadasz had a surgery this spring, so he could take a year to just heal up and learn the system. Hennessy could take a year to add NFL strength.
Ruiz could play anywhere inside and is the most NFL ready. Same with Cushenberry. Some like him better as a OG. I may be one of those guys, I'm still torn.
If I am drafting for a LG, then I will draft a LG. Bredeson is my personal mid round favorite, he's the best fit as well IMO. Followed by Hunt, then Stenberg and Muti.
As far as my specific plan, and this would be my plan, not knowing how they feel about Corbett or Noteboom.
If a stud LT falls to the Rams at 52, and I am not sold on Noteboom, then draft the OT. Im thinking Niang or Jones in this scenario. At that point, I let Corbett and noteboom fight for their careers at LG and look at a OC later on like Biadasz in the 3rd if he lasts that long. I don't force anything and if I don't find one, Im still ok with Blythe and Allen as the OC for 1 year. And I look for a OC in the 2021 draft.
If I like Noteboom to be my future LT, and or there isn't a good LT in round 2, then I scratch OT from my draft board completely, and go get a OC somewhere in rounds 2 or 3. So Ruiz (fat chance), Cushenberry, Hennessy or Biadasz. Then I go get a LG at the end of round 3 or in round 4. Any of Bredeson, Stenberg, Hunt or Muti work for me.
Like I said a month ago, this is looking like a transition year. They just don't have the horses to run with the big dogs in the NFC. But with a good draft and fixing their cap this year, they can be right in the mix next year. So it doesn't bother me to take picks that need a year on the bench.
