those contracts are only bad because they got hurt... each had performed at a level that dictated they should get paid
Todd Gurley was an elite talent ... top 5 player
Cooks was a top 10-12 WR with a unique skill set and speed that few have.... if not for the concussions we would not be having this conversation about him
Yeah it sucks....Gurley was the best offensive player in the league bar none when they rewarded him with that contract. Some say it happened in the Cheifs game and some think it happened in the Eagles game, but where ever it happened it changed him. He could have been one of the all time greats had he stayed healthy.
I hate the way it all ended with him ...he was the crowd favorite and now he's just salty and not handling it very well.
And we all remember how excited McVay was to get his guy Cooks..... Another unfortunate injury ended another great Rams career. It was short but memorable
Wish them both the best.....they are good dudes.
