draft a C and maybe Allen doesn't make it...

I'm OK with Allen as a depth guy this year. Like 8th on the depth chart. But having him and Blythe- who I like at center, personally- does not preclude them at all from drafting a center, even as high as #52. I doubt that will happen (84 or 104 is more likely) but still.

A guy like Ruiz (or several other OL prospects) could compete immediately with Corbett at LG while becoming the starting C in 2021.

Rams would also save $750k in cap space if Allen were released at the end of training camp. And at least by 2021 if he is not going to start I wouldn't keep him ($920k savings in 2021).
