Listening to their draft needs podcast and they just got to the Rams. (Bullet points to make it easier)
-They mentioned that we're not a bad roster as much as we are a team in limbo
-mentioned that the Robinson and brockers signings were puzzling at their prices b/c you can get run stuffers in the middle round and they actually like one of our previous middle round run stuffers (Gaines), but concede that we may be building just to stop Seattle and SF (major run teams).
Here's where it gets juicy
-mentioned that there are maybe five offensive lines in the NFL that are hopeless as constructed but that the Rams are NOT one of them, and that we could quickly get back to average
-mentioned that Havenstein (4 good years out of 5) could easily bounce back, that Whitworth should remain steady at worst, and mentioned that all of our interior guys (Blythe, Corbett, Edwards,) have at the very least shown stretches of being capable guys.
-mentions that the Rams offensive line was so bad LAST year that they may need to focus on contingency plans, but maybe not day one starters.
-mentions that, other than maybe not having an heir apparent to Whitworth, the Rams have actually used a good strategy for developing lineman.
They added one more tidbit that I've actually been flirting with myself. The idea that, if a strong corner drops to 52 (Jaylon Johnson is my favorite of guys at 52) the Rams maybe take him so that our coverage can go to the next level.
