Steelers are treating this like UDFAs

Most undrafted free agents never even make a practice squad but if you start with 15 to 20, maybe 1 to 3 or so will make the 53 man roster. The Steelers see the XFL as a pool of 400 potential end of the roster players and seem to be saying why not see what some of these have. If there is any thing there it is not a bad approach. They can always cut these guys when they start trying to acquire UDFAs.
