This one is going to be a bit of a test.
I'm not super satisfied with either defensive signing so we still have needs we need addressed. And we have a big question mark in our backfield. But I have a few workarounds ...
Also, don't quote me on the rounds, this is the craziest Ive ever seen draft boards and at this point Im going by feel. So if I put a guy in a spot, know Ive seen him both higher and lower.
52) Curtis Weaver, edge. Boise ... Kid who Ive watched since his freshman year. My only question mark was his agility and timed speed in case he needed to be called on to cover a back. His short shuttle and 3 cone were solid and his field drills were really smooth. I have no interest in continuing to try to plug guys into this spot .. we need to draft someone who can hold down the fort.
3) Jordyn Brooks/Logan Wilson ILB
3) AJ Dillon/Lamycal Perine ... Simply ... a back I trust on goal line.
4) Bredeson/Stenberg/ ... heavy handed left guards that can move. Stenberg was the guy who knocked the O line coach off balance. Bredeson has better feet.
6) Dalton Keene TE V Tech 3rd TE ... mean. Has limited tape and moved around a bit ... but will be a willing blocker and a solid option if we lose eitjer of our top 2 TEs. WAY more athletic than he looks.
7) Bravion Roy NT No combine invite ... Not an every snap player, but really hard to move. Also has some pass rush to him. Was overworked at Baylor.
Thoughts and comments welcome ... I'll do another as we get closer.
