At least the uniform colors will now match the helmets. It's bugged me that for years and years they were mismatched and the organization seemed fine with it.
I was fine with it too but I do realize it bothered some people. The shades of blue and yellow seems to have changed over the years. Sometimes lighter, sometimes darker. It never really mattered to me as long as they were close to the blue and yellow that I love. (When they went to the St Louis "gold", that was an issue for me. That was too drastic of a change lol.)
To me, it was "football" and the mismatched helmet was so minuscule because the jersey was sooo special and just as symbolic of the team as was the helmet is. IMO, when the changed the jersey in STL but kept the same "style" helmet, the uni as a whole just wasn't as "special" as the traditional jersey\helmet were\are. In fact, it was so far from "special" it seemed very ordinary in comparison. That is why, to me, this new jersey will make or break the way we look at our new uni, not if the color matches the new helmet. JMO.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
