the Rams signed Gurley because they had something special.
an elite to 5 player in the NFL... he got hurt
you can probably argue that they could have waited to extend him... but there was no questioning his special talent and his impact on the offense.
I have the feeling that Gurley had this knee issue before the Rams signed him and maybe he wasn't upfront about it... they cut the man and year and half later.... there is clearly some anger there
I personally didn't have a problem with the contract... the fact that he got hurt is what ruined it. Dallas did the same with Zeke... they are considered special backs
In fact Gurley, Cooks, and Goff contracts all look bad right now. Cooks and Gurley because of injury and Goff because he doesn't appear to be a true franchise QB
Hopefully Cooks and Goff bounce back
