The defense had HUGE problems..... there is NO WAY I wanted them to pay Fowler. Would have loved to keep Littleton, but not for the money. Kiser is a good player. Matthews should be replaced with a younger talent. I'm VERY okay with what they've done on defense. It was embarrassing last year.

NRC was for $ and maybe a clean start away from some of his 'controversy'

Gurley - no way they could keep that $$ on the books and he had soured on the Rams

Whit & Blythe - good depth

Brockers - it was time, too much $ and he just didn't show folks. Our run defense was laughable. Robinson and upgrade after watching what the 9ers offense will be twice a year.

I continue to believe they're being smart. They blew it with Gurley, but showed guts in letting him go.
