I agree. He seems so surly and unhappy all the time. I understand questions about the knee getting old, but the guy never seems happy. I think he is frustrated with the plan and McVay and it is best to move on.
Same with Hopkins in HOU. Yes, he is a stud, but in some way (not play in Hopkins case), addition by subtraction in terms of continuity and a happier team atmosphere? Again, I am not stating O'Brien was "right", but it is not always just stats and fair trades.
Maybe that will be the case with Gurley. I remember Goff trying to say something positive after a win last year and Gurley took it as what am I washed up? Just not a good look....
