It seems to me, when his number has been called to blitz, he's been effective. And that kinda make sense, given how deadly he's been as a special teams kick/punt blocker. Wasn't he leading the league in blocks over the last few years? You've gotta figure he's the one guy the Rams opponents were always tracking in punt/field goal situations; yet he was still able to slip through the O-Line when the Rams needed a spark.
My hope is the Rams retain Littleton, and use him more as a blitzer, maybe even while moving him around pre-snap. Seems to me this would cause real problems for opposing offenses.
I remember how the Rams under-appreciated London Fletcher and just let him go. Littleton isn't the "rah rah" emotional leader Fletcher was, but I think he's a quiet leader and a helluva player. I don't want his leaving to be a Fletcher redux.
