Just my opinion... but more is already too much with the largely bad Thursday Night games. I rarely watch those of the Rams are not playing. Heck, I only sporadically watch Monday Night Football now.
Plus the whole odd number of games thing is just....well, odd. Creates uneven advantages. Sometimes you just have to leave well enough alone and focus on quality, not quantity.

But isn’t one less meaningless preseason game replaced by one meaningful regular season game an example of more quality for same quantity?
I suspect that having the ‘odd’ game amount might make playoff tiebreakers less complicated as a minor bonus.
