5th most yards and 2nd most when he retired

to me that is a staggering stat that makes him like the 2nd most productive WR of his era behind only Jerry Rice.

Bruce is the most underrated player that I can remember. What killed him was he was among other great players on his team and he was never the #1 receiver at any given year in the NFL, but the combination of being near the top and being so highly productive for so many years to me was enough for him to be chosen a long time ago.

I thought he was more deserving than Warner, Faulk, and Pace because of the longevity of playing at a high level and having that all-time stat was an exclamation point. Warner, Faulk, and Pace may have been the best player at their position for a few years, but they didn't have as many years of the excellence that Bruce had. Pace should have been blackballed altogether for calling in sick year after year and skipping a good portion of the preseason. Warner and Faulk deserved to be in for sure though as well.
