I worked for the Panthers from 2000 to 2007. We played the Pats in the Super Bowl in Feb. 2004 and I got to talk with Donnie Shell in the locker room before the game. Donnie worked for the team integrating players into the community after football. I asked him about that Super Bowl and if he was worried down by two heading into the final quarter. He laughed and said no, that the Rams had a lot of former Steelers coaches on their staff and the players felt they would eventually put the Rams in their place (not his words). Methinks he'd be a lot more worried if Rod Perry had been able to tip either one of those bombs to Stallworth. Speaking of Perry, he worked for the Panthers my first couple of years there. And Roman Gabriel was one third of our radio broadcast team.
