You believe that John Elway, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Steve McNair.....were playing in offenses that call for the QB to run as much as Lamar Jackson???? Did you just liken Lamar Jackson to those players? Those players 'ran' the ball on offense like Jackson?
The Ravens threw 43.98% of the time this season....dead LAST in the league. They passed the ball 27.5 times a game, ranked 31st out of 32 teams.
I'd be very, very interested why so many people get butt hurt about these types of players not making it far. The game is played on the line of scrimmage and in the pocket. No one said he was a bad person or a bad player, nor that he couldn't improve.
Here is what most will say: comparing Lamar Jackson to Elway, Wilson, Newton, McNair and others is patently absurd.
They ran a high school, small college offense all year and like most will tell you, it catches up to you. It doesn't work long term. I'm laughing, because I remember like yesterday these SAME types of 'posts' when some of us laughed off RGIII's success, Kaepernick's success. And like clockwork....here are those same posts......bizarrely hanging on to the belief that this stuff works in the NFL.
