Coach, You had good information on the Giants connections. I don't think Kris Richard gets a HC spot this year. I agree with you he is an intriguing DC candidate. I just dug up the NYG HC article trying to find more information on Kris Richard. Here is another one:

The Dallas Cowboys coaching staff is currently undergoing a lot of changes, that’s what happens when you have a brand new head coach. We know that Mike McCarthy will be the team’s head coach and it seems just about locked in that Mike Nolan will be defensive coordinator. There are reports that McCarthy is “open” to bringing Kellen Moore back as offensive coordinator, but what about everyone else?
It remains to be seen what will happen with the likes of Jon Kitna and Marc Colombo, but reports are starting to percolate regarding secondary coach Kris Richard. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys are interested in bringing him back.

Multiple sources say Cowboys interested in bringing back Kris Richard in some role. He's got some meetings setup at The Star. Nothing definitive.

Richard recently interviewed for the vacant New York Giants head coaching job so he clearly has big goals. He’s been the team’s sort of defensive coordinator as things have been managed between he and Rod Marinelli, but with Mike Nolan coming in you’d have to imagine that he wouldn’t necessarily employ that same sort of balance.
If the Cowboys can manage to keep certain staff members in addition to bringing in the likes of McCarthy and Nolan, then there’s a lot to like. A total overhaul isn’t always necessary and that may be the case here.
Update: 4:00pm ET
According to NFL Network’s Jane Slater the Cowboys don’t have any visits scheduled with Kris Richard. Seems like this is just interest as of now.

I'm told the #Cowboys - with all due respect to Kris Richard - may very well move on there. He's free to continue employment search.
